Boca agree deal for Ángel Romero, first 2026 signing pending medical | OneFootball

According to SuperDepor.com, Boca Juniors have agreed a deal for Paraguayan forward Ángel Romero, their first signing for the 2026 season, pending a medical. Subject to that, the contract will be for one year with an option for a further year.

Romero usually operates on the right wing and has a recent spell with Corinthians in Brazil. He has plenty of minutes under his belt and was an important player for the São Paulo club in recent seasons.

The 33-year-old will travel in the coming hours to undergo his medical, then join Xeneize training. Boca’s first official match is against Deportivo Riestra this Sunday at 18:00 at La Bombonera.

The La Ribera side need attacking reinforcements after injuries to Miguel Merentiel, Milton Giménez and Edinson Cavani.

Romero appears likely to be used on the right flank, a role Aguirre filled during pre-season.
