Boca close in on Adam Bareiro before window deadline | OneFootball

Boca are confident of completing the signing of Adam Bareiro before the extension to the transfer window ends on Friday.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the hierarchy led by Juan Román Riquelme are optimistic of confirming a third addition in this window, which was extended after Rodrigo Battaglia underwent surgery on an Achilles tendon injury.

The Argentine Football Association granted extra time to replace the long-term absentee, and Boca focused on Brazil, with Bareiro now close.

Fortaleza have countered Boca's initial offer. The Argentine side do not plan to move from three million dollars for 100 percent of the Paraguayan's rights, though they have adjusted the payment schedule.

There is optimism that the full purchase will be completed in the coming hours, after which the 29-year-old would travel for a medical before signing a deal agreed in principle.

If no complications arise, that contract would run for three years.

Bareiro has played in Argentina for San Lorenzo and River. River still own a percentage of his rights, but cannot interfere and must abide by Fortaleza's decision.
