Boca are pressing ahead with 2026 recruitment while the squad are on holiday, with club manager Marcelo Delgado negotiating the signing of Marino Hinestroza as Santos enter the race.
According to LaNumer12.com.ar, Santos have the 23-year-old Colombian winger on their list after he bid farewell to Atlético Nacional, and they plan to join talks already opened by Boca.
The Brazilian club intend to better Boca’s proposal, more than four million dollars plus a further one in add-ons. Even so, Boca remain optimistic of sealing the deal in the coming days.
Hinestroza began at Orsomarso, debuting in Primera B in 2018. A year later he joined América de Cali, then moved on loan to Palmeiras in March 2020 before signing for Pachuca.
He was part of Pachuca’s Torneo Apertura 2022 title-winning squad. In the second half of 2024 he returned to Colombia with Atlético Nacional, grew into an attacking role and attracted Boca’s attention, helped by Jorman Campuzano’s recommendation.
Meanwhile, Delgado is also targeting Gastón Hernández and Alexis Cuello from San Lorenzo. Boca are waiting for the club’s institutional crisis to settle before pushing ahead.
A combined fee of around six to seven million dollars is possible, provided the agents’ quoted prices are maintained.
