Leandro Paredes is ready to say goodbye to Roma again.

The Argentine midfielder seems destined to return to where it all began: to Boca Juniors.

According to Argentine journalist Leonardo Aguilera, the player’s transfer will be finalized next week, with the parties now close to defining the agreement.

Boca has accelerated in the last few hours to bring home the world champion playmaker, strongly desired by the Buenos Aires club to strengthen the midfield in view of the second part of the season.

Talks are underway, so much so that they are working on the basis of a permanent transfer, but on more advantageous conditions than initially expected.

The €3.5 million release clause included in Paredes’ contract expired last June 30, and this has opened up room for negotiation between the parties.

The player’s agent is in direct contact with the Giallorossi management, with the aim of closing for a lower figure, which will allow Boca to make the move without financial pressure.
