Boca player ratings after limp draw with Independiente

Boca ended a forgettable year with a drab draw against Independiente at La Bombonera. According to LaNumer12.com.ar, they finished sixth, seven unbeaten, and occupy the Libertadores play-off pending Vélez, Talleres and Huracán.

Leandro Brey, 4, again looked uncertain, spilling crosses before Marcos Rojo cleared off the line. If Boca reach the 2025 Libertadores, they may seek a more senior goalkeeper.

Rojo, 7, defended well and his improved condition showed, and he is likely to remain captain next year. Marcelo Saracchi, 6, has won the shirt and could be important with a full pre-season.

Kevin Zenón, 6, drifted between roles. Guillermo Fernández, 6, played his last match before moving to Brazil, was booed, and leaves with 190 games and six titles. Debutant starter Milton Delgado, 7, was tidy and composed.

Exequiel Zeballos, 7, was the most dangerous outlet under Fernando Gago but wasteful in front of goal. Miguel Merentiel, 6, worked hard without chances and his future is uncertain. Milton Giménez, 5, laboured out of position and twice headed narrowly wide.

Gago, 7, steadied results after a rough start and the Copa Argentina defeat to Vélez. Boca are seven unbeaten in the league and now await Huracán’s fate. He would need about seven signings to fix a thinly built squad.
