Boca are planning to have Ezequiel Zeballos and Milton Giménez back after the March international window, with Claudio Úbeda’s staff aiming for the trip to Talleres at the Kempes. According to SuperDepor.com, both forwards have stepped up to ball work.

Zeballos, who lit up the start of 2026, is in the final phase of recovery from a grade II-III tear in his left biceps femoris sustained before facing Vélez. The setback brought a two-month lay-off and eight consecutive absences.

He will also miss Sunday’s meeting with Instituto at La Bombonera, taking him to a ninth game out.

Beyond fitness, Zeballos’s future is a live topic. His deal runs to December 2027, and the board led by Juan Román Riquelme want to renew it before 30 June, otherwise the forward could negotiate as a free agent with any club.

Giménez is also nearing the end of his comeback after surgery for pubalgia on 18 February. He missed pre-season, then opted with the medical staff for the operation, and is now working with the ball at Boca Predio.

He too is out of the Instituto game, but the two-week pause that follows should help him regain condition. His last competitive appearance was on 7 December, so he has been inactive for more than three months.

Úbeda stands to regain two important attacking options for a first half of the year that brings triple competition. After an early-season spate of injuries, Boca’s treatment room is finally easing.
