Sonia Bompastor says Lucy Bronze, Niamh Charles and Sjoeke Nusken are all set to be available for Chelsea’s clash with Tottenham on Saturday.

Bronze has been unavailable since winning the Euros with England because of a fractured tibia, while Charles has been sidelined since the second game of the season.

But both have come back into contention for this weekend’s clash.

“Lucy and Niamh are fit again and available for Sunday,” Bompastor said.

“I think a caged tiger is a really good description of Lucy.

“She brings a lot of energy to the team. I’ve never had someone in my squad with her mentality.

“She’s really tough, and I think it’s good to have these leaders back in the group, and I’m really happy for them both to be ready to play some minutes again.”

Nusken is also set to be involved despite suffering an injury concern in the 1-1 draw with FC Twente in midweek.

“Yes, Sio will be available,” Bompastor said.

“She’s alright. She’s practising as normal today, and she will be available for selection.”

But both Lauren James and Naomi Girma are both still recovering from their respective injury issues.

“They still need a few weeks before they will be available,” Bompastor said. “I think we could see them after the international break.”
