Bookmakers have issued a major shift in their predicted final Premier League table after a fresh Tottenham setback in Leeds United’s survival battle.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Spurs hosted Crystal Palace on Thursday seeking a first win of 2026, knowing victory would have taken them above Leeds and four points clear of the drop zone.
That looked likely when former Leeds star Archie Gray set up Dominic Solanke to put Spurs ahead, but Micky van de Ven was sent off and they fell to a 3-1 defeat.
Tottenham are now two points behind 15th-placed Leeds with eight games left and only one point above third-bottom West Ham and fourth-bottom Nottingham Forest. Leeds sit three points clear of the drop zone and two ahead of Spurs, with Palace seven points away and Brighton the side directly above United, six points ahead.
In the bookmakers’ updated forecast, Arsenal are first, Manchester City second and Manchester United third, with Chelsea up to fourth from sixth, Liverpool fifth and Aston Villa down to sixth from fourth.
Title odds have Arsenal at 2-9, in from 4-9 and as short as 1-8 with some firms, and City at 9-2, out from 15-8. United are 250-1, out from 66s, while Chelsea and Liverpool are 1000-1, with Villa also 1000-1 after drifting from 500s.
