Borussia Dortmund confirm new contract for promising youngster | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that Luca Reggiani has signed his first professional contract.

The Black and Yellows confirmed a new long-term deal for the 18-year-old centre-back on Friday without disclosing the exact length of the agreement.

“We were completely convinced of Luca’s abilities when we managed to bring him to Borussia Dortmund around two years ago. Since then, we have worked consistently with him and guided Luca from our U17 team through our U19s to the first team," said BVB managing director for sport Lars Ricken. 

“Our scouting department and our top-talents division have also played a major role in this. The reward for Luca’s development was his professional debut a few weeks ago. We will continue this successful path together.”

Reggiani, who scored his first professional goal in Dortmund's 2-0 win over Augsburg last week, said:

“I am very, very happy. When I came to BVB two years ago, it was my dream to play at Signal Iduna Park. I will now continue to work hard every day, listen to those who help me improve, and always give my best.”
