Borussia Dortmund eye Dan Ndoye as Jamie Gittens replacement | OneFootball

With Jamie Gittens’ move from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea seemingly imminent, the Bundesliga side are moving quick to secure a replacement. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that BVB have enquired about signing Bologna’s Dan Ndoye, but they face competition from Napoli.

The Italian side remain in pole position to sign Ndoye but if talks continue to stall, then Borussia Dortmund could hijack a move for the Swiss attacker. The 24-year-old scored eight goals and provided four assists in 30 Serie A games for Bologna last season, and holds a contract with the Italian side until 2027 with the option for another year.

Should Borussia Dortmund receive close to their €65m valuation of Gittens, then a large percentage of that should be reinvested in their squad.

As reported via our colleagues at Get Italian Football News, Ndoye ‘has tireless running ability, tendency to take on defenders and use his body to create a gap between himself and the defenders’.

With Gittens appearing to fall out of favour with Niko Kovac, Ndoye would appear to be the perfect candidate to slot into the Croat’s system.
