Borussia Dortmund are considering bringing Jadon Sancho back to replace Julian Brandt, who is set to leave on a free transfer this summer, Sky Germany reports.

Sancho emerged as a key figure for Dortmund and in the Bundesliga before joining Manchester United in 2021 for a reported €85 million. After struggling to establish himself in England, he returned to Signal Iduna Park on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 season.

He is currently on loan at Aston Villa and is due to become a free agent in the summer, reviving talk of another reunion.

The report adds that Dortmund want an immediate starter to fill Brandt’s role, which has brought Sancho, now 25, back into focus.

Sancho would likely accept a significant pay cut to return, though there are doubts within the club about how he would fit under Niko Kovac.
