Germans just need a point to book last-16 spot
Borussia Dortmund will look to book their place in the Club World Cup knockout phase when they face Ulsan HD this week.
Dortmund have so far taken four points from two games - drawing with Fluminense on matchday one before overcoming Mamelodi Sundowns in a seven-goal thriller last time out.
All of which has left the Bundesliga giants second in Group F by virtue of an inferior goal difference to the Brazilians. A point will be enough to progress, whilst a win could see them top the group, setting up a potential last-16 tie against Inter Milan.
Ulsan, the South Korean side, have already been eliminated from the competition after losing their opening two matches.
As a result, they’ll be playing for nothing but pride. Though they can claim a big scalp just by avoiding defeat against the Germans.
Borussia Dortmund vs Ulsan HD is scheduled for a 8pm BST kick-off on Wednesday, 25 June, 2025.
The match will take place at the TQL Stadium, Ohio.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will not be televised live.
Live stream: Viewers can watch the action live online via DAZN. Kick-off is at 8pm BST.
DAZN is the global broadcaster of the new-look Club World Cup. No subscription is required to watch the game, with the entire tournament available to their 'Freemium' members, which means you only need to sign up for a free DAZN account.
Niko Kovac could name an unchanged team from the win over Mamelodi Sundowns which would mean a second successive start for summer signing Jobe Bellingham. The midfielder opened his account with a goal at the weekend and has the incentive of nudging ahead of older brother, Jude, in the goalscoring charts.
It remains to be seen if Jamie Gittens is involved at all for Dortmund amid talk of the winger nearing a move to Chelsea. The youngster was an unused substitute last time out, having come off the bench on matchday one.
Um Won-sang is a doubt for Ulsan but Matias Lacava is on standby if the forward - who scored and claimed an assist in the 3-2 loss against Fluminense - can’t make the squad.

Dortmund haven’t been convincing in their opening two Club World Cup games. Certainly their performance against Mamelodi Sundowns highlighted there is plenty of room for improvement.
That said, this is a team unbeaten in their last nine games across all competitions - winning seven of those - and they’ll have far too much quality for Ulsan en route to recording a comfortable win.
Borussia Dortmund to win, 3-1
This will be the first-ever competitive meeting between the two teams.
Borussia Dortmund to win: 1/6
Ulsan HD to win: 11/1
