Borussia Dortmund want three Barcelona players included in Karim Adeyemi deal

Barcelona are racing to complete a deal for Karim Adeyemi, who would be their second signing of the summer after Anthony Gordon. Personal terms are already in place with the 24-year-old forward, meaning that an agreement with Borussia Dortmund is all that remains before the Catalans get their man.

Barcelona have already submitted an opening offer of €20m, but that was knocked back by Dortmund, who value their player closer to €40m. A compromise in the region of €30m is expected, although the price that the Catalans pay could be brought down by the inclusion of their players in the proposed deal.

According to Jijantes FC, Dortmund are open to including players in their deal with Barcelona. Namely, they have informed the Catalan club that they are interested in Hector Fort, Marc Casado and Roony Bardghji, all of whom have chances to leave the Spotify Camp Nou this summer.

Casado and/or Bardghji inclusion(s) would make a lot of sense

It is a boost for Barcelona that Dortmund are willing to accept a reduced price in exchange of a player-plus-cash agreement. If it is Casado that is ultimately decided upon, it could almost end up being a straight swap, given that a €30m asking price has been set for the midfielder, who is no longer counted upon by Hansi Flick.

The inclusion of Bardghji would also make sense, given that Adeyemi would be replacing him in Flick’s squad. The 20-year-old has been touted for a loan move this summer, but if he ends up being the one that goes to Dortmund, it would almost certainly be the case that a permanent arrangement is sorted instead.

Given how negotiations appear to be going at this stage, it would be a big surprise if Barcelona and Dortmund didn’t agree a deal in the coming days. When that happens, it will be interesting to see the exact conditions, and whether one of the La Liga champions’ current players will be heading to Germany.
