Rheinische Post reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach are interested in Bayern Munich’s Paul Wanner.
Gladbach are set to lose one of their main creative outlets with Alassane Plea on the verge of joining PSV Eindhoven for €4m. Now, with his departure, die Fohlen need a replacement.
Shuto Machino has been linked with the club, but a fee of €10m is seen as too much for Gladbach. While sources in the Netherlands have suggested Magdeburg’s Martijn Kaars is a target. In Italy, Inter Milan striker Sebastian Esposito is also a name that has been mooted.
While Gladbach are also open to bringing a player in on loan, one of whom is Wanner. However, following Jamal Musiala’s injury at the Club World Cup, it is unknown what Bayern’s plans are with the Germany under-21 international going into this season.
On top of this, Stuttgart have shown an interest in the 19-year-old, and they are able to offer European football this season.
