Botafogo host Internacional in the Brasileirão on Saturday, 25 April 2026 at the Mané Garrincha, with the hosts ninth and the visitors 14th as both eye a mid-season springboard.
Recent meetings have been split. Botafogo won 4-0 at home in May 2025, while Internacional responded with a 2-0 victory in October.
Glorioso arrive on a surge after beating Racing Club, then Chapecoense twice in league and cup. Inter's league run has been mixed, drawing with Grêmio and losing to Mirassol either side of a win at Corinthians, before a cup success away to Athletic.
Injuries could shape selection. The Glorioso list defender Kaio Fernando Da Silva Pantaleao and forward Nathan Fernandes as out, while Inter are without goalkeeper Sergio Rochet, midfielder Alan Jesus Rodriguez Guaglianoni and left-back Matheus Bahia.
Fogão's league games have been open, with 22 scored and 22 conceded in 11, so quick transitions could suit them. Colorado, with 10 goals in 12, may look to keep things tight and pick their moments on the break.
A win would take the Glorioso to 19 points and could nudge them further into the top half while consolidating their Sudamericana footing. For Colorado, three points would move them to 16 and could lift them further from the relegation places.
