Tottenham Hotspur want Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo in the winter transfer window, but he prefers to join Arsenal, according to the Sun.

Spurs want to bolster their options in the final third at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club, and the Ghana international remains on their radar.

However, they could face competition from the Gunners who could look to bring him to the Emirates Stadium club as manager Mikel Arteta admires him.

Semenyo has a £65 million release clause in his Cherries’ contract which would allow him to leave before January 10.

Spurs manager Thomas Frank needs quality finishers in front of goal, and the 25-year-old fits the bill having notched six goals and three assists in the Premier League this term.

However, the ‘extraordinary’ Semenyo would be hesitant to join Tottenham, just as he was in the summer. He would be far more tempted should an offer arrive from Arsenal.

A move to Manchester City or Liverpool would also be more appealing to the Bournemouth star.

The Gunners have been monitoring Semenyo and injuries in attack could see them move for him next month.

They are currently without 15-year-old Max Dowman after he sustained an ankle injury while playing for the Arsenal under-21s at the weekend.

Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are closing in on returns to the first-team, but the Gunners have struggled to keep some of their key players fit all season and could need reinforcement in attack for the second-half of 2025-26.

Semenyo has proven himself in recent seasons, and Arsenal could do with such a versatile and quality attacker in their bid to go one better in the Premier League title race this season.

They pipped Spurs to Eberechi Eze in the summer, with the English attacker opting to join the Gunners at the last minute having come close to signing for Tottenham.

Arsenal will fancy their chances of doing so again should they need to sign Semenyo, and an interesting winter transfer window could be on the cards.
