Bournemouth enter the race to sign David Raum | OneFootball

With Andoni Iraola departing and Marco Rose appointed as the Spaniard’s successor, planning for the 2026/27 season is already under way. According to a report from Sport Bild, the Premier League side are interested in signing David Raum (28) should the German defender leave RB Leipzig this summer.

Raum played 97 games under Rose during their time together at Leipzig between 2022 and 2025, and now the two could link up again. Holding a contract at Leipzig until 2027, Leipzig are actively looking to extend the contract of their captain. “The club is in contact with my agency,” Raum confirmed.

However, it’s also well known that the 28-year-old has dreams of playing in the Premier League. “I still hear about interest from other clubs from time to time, and I still make no secret of the fact that I still have dreams as a player,” explained Raum, who helped Leipzig secure a return to Champions League football. “I’ve received a great deal of appreciation here in Leipzig, especially this season, and now I’m captain of a Champions League club, so that’s my absolute focus right now.”

Raum scored three goals and provided seven assists across 30 Bundesliga games in 2025/26, helping Leipzig secure third place ahead of VfB Stuttgart, and thus a return to European football after missing out entirely this season.
