Three first-half goals were enough to give West Ham a foundation to build on and the Hammers held on for all three points, despite Sunderland's late consolation.

A huge half for West Ham. Summerville, Bowen and Fernandes strike before the break to give the Hammers a comfortable lead over Sunderland.

Just before the break, West Ham score again and it's a fantastic finish from Mateus Fernandes. The ball falls perfectly for the midfielder 30-yards out and he rockets an unstoppable finish past Roefs.


Sunderland get into a decent position and look to get into the West Ham area, but the attack comes to an end as Brian Brobbey's through ball goes behind for a goal kick.


Such a key player for West Ham.


West Ham are really on top here and Castellanos's header is kept out by Roefs.

West Ham really are looking dangerous in the final third today and Pablo finds space just inside the area, but skies his effort well over.


Sunderland burst down the other end and Trai Hume's looping header ends up on the roof of the net.


That's Summerville's second goal in two matches after scoring at Spurs last weekend.

The Hammers build up a head of steam in attack and Jarrod Bowen clips a cross into Crysencio Summerville and the forward headers in from close-range.


West Ham get into a decent position and Tomas Soucek tries to cross for Taty Castellanos, who can't quite connect and the move breaks down.
