Bournemouth turned down two Barcelona offers for Éli Junior Kroupi | OneFootball

AFC Bournemouth are reported to have recently turned down two offers from FC Barcelona for Éli Junior Kroupi (20), according to L’Équipe. Their value is said to amount to less than €100m.

As the Catalan club’s Plan B should the deal for Julián Alvarez (26) – who is keen to join them – fall through, the Frenchman – under contract until 2030 – is understood to have welcomed Barcelona’s interest with enthusiasm, even going so far as to express to his advisers his desire to join the Blaugranas.

A view obviously not shared by his club’s management, who have made it clear on several occasions that they do not wish to part ways with the former FC Lorient player. But will they really be able to stand their ground? The situation is not entirely clear-cut.

Having enjoyed a particularly successful first season with the Cherries, for whom he scored 13 goals in 33 Premier League matches, the French striker is therefore not yet certain to continue his English adventure beyond the summer. But to pry him away from Bournemouth, Barcelona will have to make a convincing case. And certainly be prepared to increase their offered price.
