Edoardo Bove has been a Roma player again since July 1st, after Fiorentina failed to sign him, having been forced to withdraw due to the well-known health problems that afflicted the midfielder last December.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Bove did not receive the necessary fitness to participate in the Trigoria training camp under new coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

In recent months, the player has undergone numerous cardiac tests, all with negative results.

However, the cause of his illness remains unknown, and doctors at the Florence hospital had recommended the implantation of a subcutaneous defibrillator.

And here lies the obstacle: according to the CONI health protocol, it is not possible to participate in competitive activity in Italy with this type of device.

The regulation, however, does not apply abroad, where the possibility of a transfer remains alive, albeit subject to medical developments.

Meanwhile, Roma is watching discreetly, while Bove maintains contact with Fiorentina. The hope is that a waiver or solution will soon be available that will allow him to safely return to play.
