Paris Saint-Germain visit Rennes in Ligue 1 matchday 22 at 19:00, with Ousmane Dembélé starting and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia restored to the XI. L'Équipe reports that Luis Enrique has opted for light rotation, with Illia Zabarnyi preferred to Marquinhos and Bradley Barcola among the substitutes.
The trip comes four days before the Champions League play-off first leg in Monaco. Achraf Hakimi returns from suspension and captains in Marquinhos’s absence, while Matveï Safonov and Vitinha both start.
PSG XI: Safonov (g.), Hakimi (cap.), Zabarnyi, Pacho, Nuno Mendes, Zaïre-Emery, J.Neves, Vitinha, Kvaratskhelia, Dembélé, D.Doué.
For Rennes, interim coach Sébastien Tambouret recalls Brice Samba, a week after Mathys Sillistrie’s below-par display at Lens, 1-3. He also turns to right-back Mahamadou Nagida ahead of Alidu Seidu, with Ludovic Blas again on the bench as Arnaud Nordin and Mousa al-Tamari start out wide.
Rennes XI: Samba (g.), Nagida, Brassier, Rouault, Merlin, Szymanski, Rongier (cap.), Mah. Camara, Al-Tamari, Lepaul, Nordin.
