Brasileirão's 11th round features big derbies: check the head-to-head

The 11th round of the 2026 Brasileirão Betano will begin this Saturday, the 11th, with five matches, including the Grenal derby, which will be played at Beira-Rio. On Sunday, the 12th, Série A will have five more games, with two more state derbies: Fluminense vs. Flamengo at the Maracanã, and Corinthians vs. Palmeiras at Neo Química Arena.

The match between Vitória and São Paulo will open the round at 4:30 p.m. at Barradão, in Salvador, where the Bahia Rubro-Negro won the last meeting in 2025 by 1-0. Historically, São Paulo hold a wide edge, with 30 wins and only 8 losses in 42 matches. At the same time, Remo host Vasco at Mangueirão, in Belém, after 32 years. The last game there was in 1994, with Vasco winning 1-0. Remo’s last victory, meanwhile, came 50 years ago (2-0 on October 29).

At 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Mirassol face Bahia in São Paulo, where they thrashed the Bahia side 5-1 in 2025. Shortly after, at 8 p.m., Santos host Atlético-MG at Vila Belmiro, where they have an excellent recent record against Galo, with 8 wins in the last 10 matches. Then at 8:30 p.m., Inter and Grêmio will play the Grenal, repeating the 2026 Gaúchão final, when Tricolor lifted the trophy after a 0-0 draw.

On Sunday, Athletico-PR host Chapecoense at 11 a.m. at Arena da Baixada. At home, Furacão are still unbeaten against the team from Santa Catarina (3 wins and 5 draws). At 4 p.m., Botafogo, coming off three straight wins in the competition, will face Coritiba at Nilton Santos. Also in Rio, Fluminense and Flamengo will replay the final of the last state championship, won by Rubro-Negro on penalties. As the home side, Flu are unbeaten in 22 matches overall and in 14 Brasileirão matches. In 2026, they won all five of their games at the Maracanã. At the same time, Corinthians and Palmeiras will contest the Paulista Derby.
