Brasileirão's penultimate round before Club World Cup break: head-to-heads

This weekend, the 17th round of the 2026 Brasileirão Betano will be the penultimate one before the break for the World Cup. This Saturday, the 23rd, there will be five matches, highlighted by the clash between Flamengo and Palmeiras, the top two teams in the standings, at the Maracanã. On Sunday, the 24th, the schedule features another four matches, and on Monday, the 25th, Coritiba vs. Bahia will wrap up the round.

This Saturday, two matches open the round: São Paulo vs. Botafogo at MorumBis, and Vitória vs. Internacional at Barradão, both at 5 p.m. In São Paulo, Tricolor Paulista holds a big historical edge in Série A with 27 wins, 9 draws, and 8 losses. In Salvador, Rubro-Negro Baiano hosts Colorado, also with a good home record: 11 wins, 4 draws, and 5 losses. Inter’s last win there was in 2018.

At 7 p.m., Mirassol hosts Fluminense for only the second time at home in history. In 2025, the team from the interior of São Paulo won 2-1.
