Inter Milan winger Luis Henrique explained why he needed time to settle at the club after a solid performance in the 1-0 win over Atalanta, underlining the high standards required at San Siro.

Speaking to Sky Sport after the final whistle in Bergamo, via FCInter1908, Luis Henrique reflected on the importance of the victory and the work Inter have put in to reach this point.

“It means a lot because we’ve worked so hard to get here,” he said. “We’re really happy.”

Henrique also pointed to continuity and support from teammates as key factors in his adaptation.

“I think the playing time and my teammates help me a lot,” the Brazilian explained, highlighting how trust and repetition have allowed him to grow into the role.

Asked about the expectations he encountered after joining Inter, Luis Henrique was clear.

“The level is very high,” he said. “We always have to aim for the maximum. We are Inter.” The winger admitted that this demanding environment played a major role in the challenges he faced early on.

Reflecting on the toughest and most motivating moments of the season so far, Henrique added: “The most difficult moment was the defeat against Bologna.

The best one is always the next match.” It was a response that underlined both disappointment and ambition within the squad.

Finally, the Brazilian directly addressed his slow start. “The difficulties came from the high level at Inter,” he explained, “and because I needed time to fit into the team’s playing dynamics.” His display against Atalanta suggested that process is now well underway.
