Breno Bidon rescued Corinthians with a late equaliser in the Majestoso at Neo Química Arena, the match finishing 1-1. He later addressed his future amid mounting attention.
The midfielder struck in the 44th minute of the second half and completed 16 of 21 passes. It was his first clássico goal and his third for the club, his first since June last year against Grêmio. Rádio Tupi reported earlier this year that Flamengo explored a €15 million move, but no official offer was made.
Bidon said he is living a very good moment, perhaps his best so far, and stressed he must keep working. He also expressed gratitude for what has been happening in his life.
Earlier this year Corinthians executive Marcelo Paz projected the club could make a record sale in 2026, with Bidon among the leading candidates. He shone in the 2025 Copa do Brasil final and is the key midfield presence while Rodrigo Garro recovers from left-hand surgery.
On a possible move, he said playing in Europe and the Champions League, and representing Brazil, remains a childhood dream, but his focus is on Corinthians. With games every two days, he said others must handle any talks and that recovery is vital before Thursday’s clássico at Santos at 19:30 in round four of the Paulistão.
Bidon is being monitored by PSV, Napoli, Sporting and Manchester United, who also have Nottingham Forest defender Murillo, a Terrão product, on their radar. Corinthians intend to negotiate only for the full release clause, set at €100 million, about R$ 627 million, for international deals and about R$ 370 million for Brazilian clubs.
