Brighton’s Matt O’Riley to join Marseille on loan | OneFootball

Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Matt O’Riley (24) is set to join Olympique de Marseille on a season-long loan, according to a report from RMC Sport.

The Danish midfielder has played two Premier League games for Brighton so far this season, however, he will now spend the rest of the campaign in the south of France.

Marseille lost their second game in three matches, against Olympique Lyonnais, on Sunday night. As a result, the club are looking to continue recruiting right up until the deadline. With Adrien Rabiot on his way out of the club, there is a gap to fill in OM’s midfield and it will be filled by O’Riley.

As reported by RMC Sport, there is an agreement in place between the two clubs. It will be a straight loan, without any option to make the move permanent. O’Riley will touch down in Marseille this morning before completing the move.
