Board member for sport Markus Krösche, head coach Dino Toppmöller and Ansgar Knauff analyse the 3-3 draw with Borussia Dortmund.

Board member for sport Markus Krösche: “Both teams produced intensive performances, and we played a good game. It’s obviously annoying that it ended 3-3, but overall, we put in a good showing and it’s a shame that we didn’t get our reward. It’s important that we brought the intensity out onto the pitch tonight against really strong opposition. I’m delighted for Younes Ebnoutalib, he played well. He linked up well with Arnaud Kalimuendo, whose timing was really good for the assist. Kaua Santos also played really well.”

Head coach Dino Toppmöller: “What a match! What more could you ask for in footballing terms? Plenty of goals, one-on-ones, real intensity. When you go to the stadium, you want to see action and we were treated to a fantastic game. For me, the important thing is that with this performance we showed what we’re about - that we brought power and energy onto the pitch and underlined our desire to win the game.”

Ansgar Knauff: “We’re all disappointed that we couldn’t get the win. We put in a good performance over the 90 minutes, overcame setbacks and took a 3-2 lead late on. To let a goal in after that doesn’t feel good and we’re annoyed with that. If we can play with that kind of intensity, we’ll cause problems for any team. We were not far off winning both games against BVB this season and we’ll try to put that right third time around.”
