FC Bayern is on the verge of its first major transfer of the summer. In the negotiations for Nathaniel Brown, Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt have apparently reached a decisive breakthrough. There are strong indications that the German international’s transfer could be made official in the coming hours or days.
Negotiations have been going on for a long time, but now a decision seems imminent: Nathaniel Brown is set to move from Eintracht Frankfurt to FC Bayern.
According to consistent reports from BILD and Sky, talks between the two clubs have recently made significant progress. It now appears that the question is no longer whether the transfer will happen, but only the final details of the financial terms.
As reported by BILD, officials from both clubs have reached a breakthrough in negotiations. The total package is said to amount to up to 65 million euros.
The last outstanding issue therefore concerns the exact structure of the transfer fee. While the basic amount has been agreed upon, negotiations are currently still underway regarding the breakdown between a guaranteed base fee and performance-based bonus payments.
Sky also confirms that talks are at an advanced stage. Transfer expert Florian Plettenberg stated that negotiations are proceeding positively and are in the home stretch. “Negotiations between Bayern and Frankfurt are well advanced and proceeding positively. Things are looking good. But as long as the breakdown between the fixed amount and performance bonuses isn’t 100 percent settled, a full agreement hasn’t been reached yet,” said Plettenberg.
The player himself is said to be particularly keen to see the matter resolved as soon as possible.
The 22-year-old is currently with the German national team at the World Cup and wants to focus fully on the tournament once an agreement is reached.
A quick resolution would also be beneficial for both clubs. While FC Bayern would gain planning certainty for the new season early on, Eintracht Frankfurt could immediately begin concrete succession planning.

Given recent developments, it seems entirely possible that the deal could be finalized before Germany’s first World Cup match. The DFB squad faces Curaçao on Sunday. By then, the remaining issues could be resolved.
With Brown, Vincent Kompany would acquire a player who perfectly fits the desired profile. The national team player impresses with his versatility, his dynamism on the left flank, and his ability to make an impact both defensively and offensively.
For FC Bayern, Brown would be the first major signing of a transfer window that promises further activity.
At the same time, the Munich club continues to work intensively on signing Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven. While some financial details remain unresolved there, the Brown transfer appears to be significantly further along.
Barring any unexpected twists, Nathaniel Brown is expected to officially become a Bayern Munich player very soon.
