Bruno Fernandes’ family members are reportedly not enthused about the prospect of leaving Manchester United for the Saudi Pro League.

Fernandes’ future at United is up in the air, amidst strong interest in his services from Al-Hilal. It’s understood Al-Hilal have offered the United captain a mega £700,000 per week contract, which he is seriously considering after his agent met Saudi chiefs in Riyadh last week.

Three years in the Gulf state would see Fernandes pocket an eye-watering £200m. Al-Hilal are prepared to offer United £100m to sanction the sale of their captain.

A recent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Al-Hilal are growing confident that a deal for Fernandes is close to getting over the line.

The Portuguese playmaker doesn’t have long to make his decision, with a deadline in place as Al-Hilal want to have a marquee signing just in time for the Club World Cup. According to Sky Sports, United are waiting to hear from Fernandes on whether or not he wants to stay at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim wants Fernandes to stay and captain the side in the 2025/26 season. United will only consider offers for Fernandes if he communicates to the club that he wants to leave.

It has been revealed that Fernandes’ decision will be primarily motivated by what is best for his family.

This was reiterated by Ben Jacobs, who noted the same, adding that Fernandes’ final decision won’t be influenced by monetary gain, despite the riches on offer.

Meanwhile, journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims, “Bruno Fernandes family not convinced to come in Saudi Arabia!”

“Despite the fact Al Hilal’s building a strong team with the imminent arrivals of Simone Inzaghi (expected in Paris within the next two days), Victor Osimhen (also expected in the French capital soon), and Theo Hernandez, who is close to a personal agreement with the Saudis…”

“The lack of commitment from the Fernandes camp is slowing down the deal.”

“Al Hilal needs Fernandes before the Club World Cup & ready to offer everything to the Manchester United midfielder to prevent him from resisting the SPL’s astronomical allure.”

Fernandes, who turns 31 in September, signed a contract extension with United last summer until 2027 with the option of an additional year.
