CAF Nations League: everything you need to know about this new competition

The Confederation of African Football has officially approved the creation of a CAF Nations League, a brand-new continental tournament announced by the organization's president, Patrice Motsepe, as part of ongoing reforms.

According to the announcement, the tournament will be structured around four geographic zones: UNAF, Central and Southern Africa, East Africa, and West Africa, aiming to better organize the competition and ease logistical challenges.

The top team from each zone will secure a ticket to the semi-finals, kicking off a final stage that already promises to stoke regional rivalries. This is an ambitious initiative from CAF, designed to energize African football and provide a new, regular competitive showdown.
