Lennart Karl is probably going to the World Cup: As reported by BILD, Julian Nagelsmann called the 18-year-old attacking player personally and gave him his final confirmation for the tournament in the USA, Canada and Mexico

This is an impressive continuation of the Bayern talent’s rapid rise. Just a few months ago, Karl was mainly playing in the youth academy and was considered more of a candidate for the U21 national team

Nagelsmann initially wanted to deliberately curb the hype surrounding the attacking gem, but after Karl’s strong performances at FC Bayern and his convincing first appearances in a DFB jersey, there was obviously no way around him

The 18-year-old played a strong season at FC Bayern and delivered impressive numbers, scoring a total of nine goals and providing eight assists

The attacking player also made Champions League history when he became the youngest German goalscorer in the top flight

His dynamism, carefree attitude and courageous one-on-one play in particular have made him one of the greatest hopes in German soccer in recent months

Karl also made an immediate impression in his first two appearances for the national team, coming on as a substitute in both the 4-3 win over Switzerland and the 2-1 victory over Ghana and immediately providing pace and danger

Nagelsmann has already publicly raved about Karl

The national coach had already spoken extremely positively about the Bayern talent on several occasions recently

„He made a great impression. Cheeky, but also humble. He has a natural ability to stand well and move in space,“ explained Nagelsmann
