CAMpo dos Sonhos stages new event with under-11s at Tupinense

The CAMpo dos Sonhos, an Atlético project that combines talent scouting with the strengthening of sports and social initiatives, held another edition this week. The event took place at Campo do Tupinense, in Belo Horizonte, bringing together representatives from the Club’s youth academy, children from the community, and a friendly match featuring the Under-11 team.

The program included the presence of the youth development technical coordinator, William Lima, the Under-11 head coach, Matheus Barbosa, and former striker Hernani, the project’s ambassador.

In addition to the opportunity to observe young athletes and strengthen ties with local sports projects, the gathering provided an experience of integration between Atlético and the community.

For Hernani, initiatives like this leave a legacy that goes beyond discovering new talents.

“It’s another CAMpo dos Sonhos event, now here at Campo do Tupinense, a place I know very well. Being able to bring Atlético here is very special. It’s the first time the Club has come here in so many years, and that represents a unique experience for these boys. Besides looking for players for Atlético, the project also motivates these children to keep training and believing in their dreams.”

Under-11 Victory

On the field, Atlético’s Under-11 team beat Tupinense 7-1 in a friendly match held as part of the program.

The black-and-white team’s goals were scored by Ulisses Miranda, Samuel Paixão, Enzo Elias, Davi Amaral, Davi Crispim (twice), and Gui Leandro.

Campo dos Sonhos

CAMpo dos Sonhos was launched by Atlético in May 2025 with the aim of bringing the Club closer to social and sports projects in the Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Region, expanding talent scouting and promoting the development of football in communities. In its first year, the initiative visited 24 projects, impacted around 3,500 children, and provided trials at Cidade do Galo for 30 young athletes, establishing itself as an important tool for inclusion, integration, and development.
