Gernot Rohr has unveiled his 28-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations – CAN 2025. Andréas Hountondji and Felipe Santos are the major absentees due to injury.

However, eight players who already featured at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt (June 21 to July 19, 2019) have made the list for the 2025 edition.

Rodrigue Kossi, Jodel Dossou, David Kiki, Rodrigue Fassinou, Olivier Verdon, Saturnin Allagbé, Sessi d'Almeida and Steve Mounié are the eight players in question.

For the first time in four appearances, the Cheetahs managed to escape the group stage. They even pulled off a stunning upset by knocking out Morocco on penalties in the round of 16.

Their run ended in the quarter-finals, falling to eventual finalists Senegal on a goal from Idrissa Gueye.

These players, alongside their teammates, will be aiming for an even better performance at the 2025 edition, where they’ll face DR Congo, Senegal, and Botswana in the group stage.
