CAN 2025 – Tunisia: More fear than harm for Hazem Mastouri

There’s good news for Hazem Mastouri. The Tunisian striker is in good shape and is expected to be available for the clash against Nigeria.

Having started as the spearhead of the attack against Uganda, Hazem Mastouri was substituted at halftime by Firas Chaouat. This decision sparked questions among Tunisian fans regarding the player’s condition.

After taking several knocks, including a blow to the head, the Dinamo Makhachkala striker was subbed off by Sami Trabelsi as a precaution, especially with the score at 2-0 by halftime.

Medical tests performed at a hospital have confirmed that he did not suffer any serious injury.

The former Union Sportive de Monastir striker will therefore be available to the technical staff for the second matchday of Group C against Nigeria, scheduled for Saturday at 8 p.m. GMT, in the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025).
