Canzi: We cannot look for external excuses | OneFootball

Juventus Women’s First Team coach Massimiliano Canzi spoke after Milan left Biella with all three points on Serie A Women Matchday 16.

“It’s a game we were convinced we’d win. We started well, too, but then I think Milan deserved it. We can only look at ourselves, we’ve been making mistakes consistently since the beginning of the year. I’ll repeat: we cannot look for excuses elsewhere, but we have to reflect on ourselves because it’s not possible that this team plays well one day and then, three days later, shows something completely different. It’s clear that we have things to improve on, we have to fix things. It’s not a problem within the dressing room, but one of a lack of consistency in our performance. Before our penalty miss, they had had two chances to score, through mistakes we made, but we had also created better chances too. Only players who never take penalties never miss them. It’s hard to explain why we can’t find consistency.”
