Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s widely-rumoured move to the Brazilian national team is on the verge of a complete collapse.
That’s according to a whole host of sources across the media on Wednesday.
Ancelotti’s future has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines across world football over the course of recent days.
This comes after Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey defeat at the hands of Barcelona culminated in widespread speculation, pointing towards an incoming departure.
Not only that, but the Italian’s next landing spot was also assured, with the Brazilian FA’s long-term pursuit of Ancelotti tipped to finally bear fruit.
As alluded to above, it has therefore come as a major surprise to learn that, in fact, Real’s boss now looks increasingly unlikely to make the move to South America.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘Brazil consider the negotiations with Carlo Ancelotti on the verge of collapsing. Despite verbal agreement done for days, deal was not signed as there’s no green light on Real Madrid exit conditions.’
It is also noted, though, that Ancelotti’s Santiago Bernabéu exit remains certain upon the close of the La Liga campaign.
