Corinthians thrashed América of Mexico 8-0 to take third at the Teal Rising Cup, as Carol Nogueira ended an eight-month wait for a goal after coming on in the second half.
Her previous strike was on 12 August last year, a 2-0 win over Ferroviária in the Campeonato Paulista at Pacaembu. According to Meu Timao, she requested leave between late August and late October for personal reasons, missing the Brazilian and Libertadores title wins.
Although she returned at the end of October, another five months passed before she played again for Corinthians. She started the 4-0 win over América Mineiro on 23 March, but lasted only 20 minutes with leg pain and was replaced by Ivana Fuso.
Against the Mexicans, she was introduced 22 minutes into the second half and scored at 30 and 39, her first goals of the season. Paola Garcia and Ariel Godoi also netted their first goals of 2026 in the rout.
Corinthians now switch focus to the Campeonato Brasileiro. They visit Juventude at Parque Esportivo Montanha dos Vinhedos on Monday 20 April in the seventh round.
