With the arrivals of Malen and Robinio Vaz, Roma has strengthened their attack.

As Massara stated, United have closed all negotiations for Zirkzee, so barring any surprises at the end of the transfer window, he will remain in Manchester.

The Giallorossi are focusing their attention on a left-back, but a further move up front is not ruled out, especially if Bailey leaves.

For several weeks now, Roma have been in the market for Carrasco, a former Atletico Madrid player who has been playing in Saudi Arabia for a couple of years.

According to Nicolò Schira, the player has been offered on loan with an option to buy through an intermediary to two Italian clubs: the Giallorossi and Napoli.

Carrasco wants to return to Europe to continue his career at the highest level. However, one of the main obstacles could be his salary.

The Belgian earns a rather high salary, which could pose a barrier for interested clubs, who might struggle to meet his financial demands.

Roma, however, has given a firm no to Carrasco.

The Giallorossi club has ruled out the Belgian’s arrival not only because his salary is deemed too high, but also because of his age. The Belgian will turn 33 in September.

Roma’s goal is to focus on young players who can be developed, like Vaz, pairing them with experienced players who are functional to Gasperini’s style of play.
