Celtic can take a massive step towards 4IAR at Pittodrie

A win on Wednesday, and Celtic are firmly in the driving seat to secure four in row. Our experience should stand us in good stead at Pittodrie against an Aberdeen side now on the ropes…

Our crushing demolition of Ross County on Saturday, doubled with Aberdeen dropping two points at Tyncastle has put us in a very healthy position at the top of the table.

Aberdeen have played a game more than Celtic

As it stands we now sit four points ahead of Jimmy Thelin’s side with a game in hand, not to mention a much superior goal differential. Next up for us of course is a trip to face the Dons at Pittodrie on Wednesday night, and a win would us firmly in the driving seat to clinch a fourth consecutive League title.

It will be tough, no doubts about it, but it’s a game that we should all be relishing and feeling pretty confident about.

Two points from nine as Aberdeen’s title challenge falters

After their last three results the pressure is really all on the home side. Jimmy Thelin’s side have had a magnificent season so far, but have hit a bit of a rough patch at the moment, which is understandable. Three tough away matches against St Mirren, Hibs and Hearts have yielded just two points from nine while Celtic’s only slip so far has been the 2-2 draw with Aberdeen at Celtic Park.

At the end of the day they still remain in a good position, and their supporters will be demanding a win on Wednesday as they look to see their side keep up the pace with the champions, by narrowing the gap to just one point with a game more played.

Can Jimmy Thelin’s players handle the pressure?

Will the Aberdeen players be able to handle that pressure? It remains to be seen, but our manager and players have been over the course many a time, and that will stand them in good stead come Wednesday evening’s top of the table encounter.
