Norwich City have been linked with a move for Kasper Hogh
Norwich City were linked with a deal to sign Bodo/Glimt striker Kasper Hogh during the January transfer window.
The Canaries have climbed their way out of the Championship relegation fight under Philippe Clement in the last couple of months.
A run of four victories in a row has eased the pressure on the club, with the gap to the bottom three now 12 points, and with a game in hand on their rivals.
The Norfolk outfit are now only nine adrift of sixth place Wrexham, highlighting the great turnaround in fortunes at Carrow Road.
However, they were unable to secure a deal for Hogh before the winter market closed on 2 February.
It was reported in late January that Norwich made a bid worth €8 (£6.9) million for the 25-year-old, which was ultimately unsuccessful.

According to Football Insider, Celtic are leading the race to sign Hogh this summer amid interest from a number of clubs.
Leeds United have also been linked with the striker, as they compete for their survival in the Premier League this season.
It’s believed that Norwich will struggle to convince the forward to move to Carrow Road now following his breakout performances in the Champions League.
Hogh scored in wins over Atletico Madrid, Sporting Clube de Portugal and Inter Milan, as well as bagging a brace in a 3-1 victory over Manchester City, with the Norwegian outfit reaching the Last 16 of the competition for the first time.
The 25-year-old also contributed 17 goals and five assists in the Eliteserien last season, with the team coming second in the table.
His exploits both in Norway and on the wider European stage have made him a hot commodity ahead of the summer transfer window.
But Norwich will struggle to secure his signature now, with Celtic understood to have the edge in any upcoming negotiations.
Hogh’s contract expires in December 2029, giving Bodo/Glimt plenty of leverage in any transfer talks this summer.
Norwich are currently 12th in the Championship table, with nine games remaining in the campaign.
The gap to sixth place Wrexham is now nine points, with the Red Dragons also losing 3-1 to Watford on Tuesday night.
Next up for Clement’s side is a trip to face Southampton this evening in a 7.45pm kick-off at St. Mary’s.

Hogh’s star started to shine brightest right at the end of the January transfer window when his goals were crucial to Bodo/Glimt qualifying for the play-off round in the Champions League.
He continued his fine form into February, scoring against both Inter Milan and Sporting in the knockout stages.
The window of opportunity for the Canaries to sign him has now potentially passed, with the chance to sign for Celtic potentially offering him more Champions League experience next season.
There’s no doubt he could’ve been an exciting signing given how he fared in the European Cup, but Norwich will have to make do without for now, it seems.
