A surprising find for sizeable Celtic supporters’ community in Dubai—a collection of 2022/23 Celtic away kits has appeared in the outlet store Brands for Less. These shirts, which once graced the Champions League stage, have seemingly made their way to the UAE from old Japanese stock, now available for approximately £30 (145 AED).
Celtic’s 2022/23 Retro Inspired Away Kit
This isn’t just any Celtic away kit—it’s the iconic white and green-striped jersey worn when Jota scored his stunning free kick at the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid in the Champions League. That unforgettable moment for Jota himself and cemented the shirt as a fan favourite, adding to its appeal for collectors and supporters alike.
With Bayern Munich visiting Celtic Park this Wednesday, there’s hope that Jota can create more historic moments under the Champions League lights, although he might now be starting on the bench after the brilliant news this evening that Celtic has won their appeal and Daizen Maeda is now available to play on Wednesday night.
Just as his strike against Madrid was captured in photographs, another big performance this week could see his name written into Celtic folklore once again.

While £30 is perhaps still a little steep for an outlet store, shirts like these often become classics. Once a season ends, tracking down new, unworn versions can be increasingly difficult, making this a rare opportunity for those looking to own a piece of Celtic history.

For fans and collectors, this could be a hidden gem. Celtic jerseys, especially ones tied to historic moments, have a way of gaining sentimental and resale value over time. If you’re in Dubai and happen to come across one at Brands for Less, it might just be worth picking up before they’re gone for good.
