Wales international Ceri Holland has signed a new contract extension with Liverpool Women.
The news was confirmed by Liverpool on Tuesday morning, with the Athletic reporting that she has penned a two-year deal.
Holland joined Liverpool in 2021 and has made over 100 appearances for the Reds.
She played a vital role in the club’s promotion back to the Women’s Super League in 2022, and has become one of the club’s most important players.
During the 2024-25 season, Holland registered four assists as Liverpool finished seventh in the WSL.
Holland has also been named in the Wales squad which will compete in their first major international competition at the Women’s Euro 2025 this summer.
Ceri Holland would have been an exciting signing for many WSL clubs, but the 27-year-old has decided to commit her future to Liverpool with her new contract.
Explaining her decision, she told the club’s website: “It’s been an amazing four years. I’ve really, really enjoyed my time here.
“We’ve obviously had a lot of success but also I think there’s a lot more that we can give and a lot more to build on.
“I think that was a major part of me re-signing and I can see there’s potential here for us to grow as a group.
“I think we’ve got a really good set of girls and our squad has got a lot of talent. I’m excited and looking forward to the future.”
She went on to add: “I’ve become more consistent in my performances. I feel I’ve probably moulded into a bit more of a leader than I was which comes naturally with evolving with the group.
“I just want to give as much as I can and help as much as I can to get where I think we should be.”
Ceri Holland’s new contract is good news for Liverpool Women amid interest from clubs in a number of their players.
Vice-captain Taylor Hinds is yet to agree a new contract despite being offered an extension by Liverpool.
Women’s Champions League winners Arsenal are interested in both Hinds and Canadian Olivia Smith.
Smith, 20, joined the Reds for £210,000 last year. However, they face a fight to keep her after a fantastic season.
She scored six goals in 15 WSL appearances and was nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
Liverpool confirmed that Yana Daniels, Jasmine Matthews and Teagen Micah will leave this summer upon the expiration of their contracts.
