One thing’s for sure: the Champions League is a goldmine for clubs. For the 2025-2026 season, UEFA will distribute no less than €2.5 billion among the 36 qualified clubs, with some teams potentially cashing in over €100 million. To start, every club is already guaranteed €18.62 million just for making it to the League phase.

From Tuesday night, the winners of the opening matches will pocket €2.1 million—this is the reward for every victory in the League phase. A draw is worth €700,000. Once the league phase wraps up, each club will receive a bonus based on their final standings. The team in 36th place will get €275,000. Then, an additional €275,000 is added per position: that’s €550,000 for 35th, €825,000 for 34th, €1.1 million for 33rd, and so on, all the way to the top-ranked team, which will take home €9.9 million. Additional bonuses of €1 million and €2.1 million will be handed out to playoff teams (9th to 24th place) and clubs that qualify directly for the round of 16 (1st to 8th place).

Qualifying via the two-legged playoff earns a club €1 million, then each club will receive €11 million for reaching the round of 16, €12.5 million for the quarter-finals, €15 million for the semi-finals, and €18.5 million for the final. The winner will pocket an extra €6.5 million.

With their triumph in 2024-2025, PSG raked in €85.07 million in prize money. Factoring in the new “value pillar”—which combines TV rights and the club’s coefficient over the past 10 years—PSG’s total windfall reached €148.42 million. Six other clubs topped the €100 million mark during their European campaigns: Inter Milan (€136.63 million), Arsenal (€117 million), FC Barcelona (€116.56 million), Bayern Munich (€105.87 million), Borussia Dortmund (€102.16 million), and Real Madrid (€101.83 million).
