Champions League play-offs drawn, Benfica to face Real Madrid

The Champions League play-off draw was made in Budapest on Friday morning, with Benfica set to meet Real Madrid after their dramatic regular-stage finale.
According to SuperDepor.com, the draw set up ties for clubs who finished ninth to 24th, competing for places in the round of 16. The final will also be staged in Budapest.
Benfica qualified on the last matchday thanks to a goal from their Ukrainian goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin. The meeting adds intrigue as José Mourinho, now in charge of Benfica, managed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013.
Holders Paris Saint-Germain will face Monaco, while Atlético Madrid, coached by Argentina’s Diego 'Cholo' Simeone and featuring Juan Musso, Nahuel Molina, Thiago Almada, Nicolás González, Julián Álvarez and Giuliano Simeone, take on Club Brugge. Inter Milan, led by striker Lautaro Martínez, meet Bodo Glimt.
Play-off matches will be staged in mid to late February. The eight highest finishers, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Sporting Lisbon, await in the round of 16.
The full play-off ties are: Monaco v PSG, Galatasaray v Juventus, Benfica v Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund v Atalanta, Qarabag v Newcastle, Club Brugge v Atlético Madrid, Bodo Glimt v Inter Milan, Olympiakos v Bayer Leverkusen.
