Expect Liverpool to send plenty of their youth and academy stars out on loan again next season. During 2024/25, the Reds executed temporary deals for the likes Ben Doak, Owen Beck, Luca Stephenson and more.
Doak is now being discussed as a potential £30m player having played well for Middlesbrough in the Championship. Beck, meanwhile, is expected to sign a new contract before heading back out on loan.
Another star of the future who Liverpool loaned out last season was 19-year-old Lewis Koumas. The versatile attacker played 49 times in total for Stoke City, scoring six goals for the Potters and notching three assists.
He has been attracting attention from around the second tier - with Sheffield United among the teams reported to be interested.
And now comes a report claiming that Wales international Koumas is wanted by Norwich City.
“Liverpool youngster Lewis Koumas is one of a number of options being considered by Norwich City in their hunt for new wingers,” a report in the Pink Un reads.
It is also revealed that the Canaries will seek a loan deal for Koumas, who agreed a long-term Liverpool contract before going out on loan to Stoke last season.
The son of former Wales international Jason Koumas, Lewis has already played - and scored - for the Liverpool first team.
However at this stage of his career he is unlikely to make a definitive first-team breakthrough with so much attacking talent in Arne Slot’s squad.
Crystal Palace have been previously been linked with Koumas, whose Wales international manager Rob Page has just taken over Liverpool’s under-21 team.
