In a recent report, La Gazzetta dello Sport mentioned that Chelsea are ready to rival Barcelona for Juventus left-back Andrea Cambiaso. It is understood that the Blues are showing interest in bringing the Italian defender to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Cambiaso’s Solid Campaign In Serie A

The 26-year-old enjoyed a decent run of form at the Turin club as he managed to produce a run of impressive displays on the left side of their backline. Cambiaso made 47 appearances for Juventus last season, scoring three goals and grabbing five assists across all competitions.

The Italian talent is currently one of the most talented left-backs in Serie A. Therefore, it is no wonder that the Blues are keen on signing him this off-season.

His current contract at the Italian club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Chelsea to land him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Cambiaso can contribute by scoring and creating a few crucial goals for his team. However, there are some question marks over whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Blues manage to win the race for his services this off-season.
