Scouts from Chelsea and Arsenal were in attendance as Ajax winger Mika Godts scored a stunning solo goal this weekend.
Godts is on the radar of Europe’s top teams after a breakout campaign in Amsterdam. The 20-year-old has 16 goals in the Eredivisie and added 11 assists, with his latest effort capturing the attention of recruiters.
Godts beat three NAC Breda defenders, and the goalkeeper, in a run which started from inside his own half.
TEAMtalk are reporting that several Premier League scouts were watching the Belgian, who made his international debut in March. Manchester United, Liverpool, and Spurs have also been linked with the 20-year-old.
Ajax are already assessing replacements amid anticipated interest from Europe’s top teams. In addition to Premier League clubs, scouts from RB Leipzig, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are among those to have watched Godts this season.
No player in the Eredivisie has been directly involved in more goals than Godts (27), who has averaged 1.01 goals and assists per 90 minutes played in the Netherlands.
