The Daily Mail’s have moved first in publishing their “keep, sell or loan” feature for this summer looking at Chelsea’s squad.

Their take is that Wesley Fofana should be on the way out, pointing out that the defender hasn’t been part of a Premier League clean sheet since mid December.

Fofana must go – but who will take him?

We couldn’t agree more. Fofana has been poor on the pitch, can’t play multiple times a week, and disgraced himself with his total lack of effort once he decided he didn’t fancy Liam Rosenior as his manager.

Of course, with Fofana you find the same problem every year. He’s on £200,000 a week and has a dreadful injury record. Nobody is going to pay him what he wants, so he’s not going anywhere soon.

Could we see him in the bomb squad? Next season feels too soon, but if he has another horror year like this and turns down moves away, it’s not out of the realms of possibility he could be there in 12 months.
