We’re trying to forget the pain of last night’s defeat to PSG – what better way to do that than to indulge in some transfer rumours?
A new player being linked to us this week is Said El Mala, the Koln winger. CaughtOffside quote German rumour site Kicker and say that Chelsea are “making serious efforts” to sign the youngster this summer.
El Mala has 12 G/A this season despite playing for a struggling side, and is gradually picking up attention from across Europe. Manchester United and Newcastle are also being linked in recent weeks.
At an impressive 6’2, he strikes an imposing figure out wide. He’s a great dribbler and excels in one on one situations, bringing lots of unpredictability to any game. We’ve gone all in on the Jamie Gittens project it seems, but it already looks like snapping up El Mala on the cheap would have been a wiser move.
Still, with Geovany Quenda and Estevao lining up for us next season, perhaps we’re stocked with young wingers already? It’s certainly not the position we’re most worried about bringing in more bodies.
In the wreckage of last night’s game, Liam Rosenior denied he had seen both Pedro Neto’s spat with a ball boy and Enzo Fernandez chucking a ball at Filip Jorgensen.
The disaster continued at full time, where Jorgensen tried to avoid going to see the away fans, only to be forced back by his teammates.
