A new transfer rumour with major implications has emerged following a report from Defensa Central, suggesting that Chelsea are considering a high-profile swap deal involving Enzo Fernandez and a key Real Madrid star.
According to the report, the London club’s ambitious plan centres on one name above all others – Vinicius Jr.
The outlet mentions that Chelsea view the Brazilian winger as the ideal final piece to elevate their squad and make a statement in both the Premier League and Europe.
Real Madrid’s long-standing admiration for Enzo Fernandez is well known.
The Argentine midfielder has been closely followed by the Spanish giants, and sources suggest that Chelsea would not stand in his way should he push for a move to the Bernabeu.
However, Chelsea have no intention of allowing Enzo to leave cheaply or without a significant return.
Instead, the Premier League side is said to be exploring a scenario in which Vinicius is included in the same operation.
The idea hinges on Madrid’s contract situation with the Brazilian forward. If Vinicius fails to renew his deal, Chelsea believe the conditions for a major negotiation could fall into place.

As such, Chelsea are open to Enzo’s departure, but only if Real Madrid agree to include Vinicius in the deal.
From Chelsea’s perspective, Enzo is believed to be worth between €120 million and €130 million, a figure that closely matches Vinicius’ potential market value should he enter the final stages of his contract without renewal.
As a result, the entire operation depends on Vinicius’ future. If a contract extension is signed, the door effectively closes.
Meanwhile, excitement is building at Stamford Bridge, as several agents familiar with the situation have spoken enthusiastically about the idea, stating,
” It’s the biggest signing in Europe and the Premier League if they manage to pull it off.”
Despite the noise, the reality remains that the deal is far from close, as Real Madrid are currently resisting any such talks.
Their priority is to secure Vinicius’ contract renewal and keep one of their most important players at the club.
